The Gorma Empire
The Gorma are a space technologically advanced, Power wielding race known for their dark rituals.
Long ago they served as a military force protecting the people of their world.
After being disbanded by the planet's leadership, the Gorma delved into the dark side of the
Power and used it to stage a violent uprising against their former masters.
Using a supposed link to the ancient Datenshi and the Luciferian Order as
justification they planned to establish a new empire.
At some point the Gorma
developed a hierarchy of military officers, ranking officials and civilians with
the former proving adept in the use of battle magic while the officials were
capable of trickery to achieve their aims. became divided into at least three groups with different goals and strategies.
The civilian faction was dedicated to their cause and willing to sacrifice
themselves to meet their leaders' aims.<p>After being defeated by those they
sought to usurp, much of what they accomplished was wiped out. After which the Gorma leaders
were imprisoned. Upon awakening they discovered the many of the worlds they had colonised had been decimated and those that remained had been radically altered through cosmic evolution;
their home world had been destroyed during their absence.<p>For a time the Gorma settled the only habitable planet in the Sol system,
but finding it too primitive for their needs, they chose to hibernate until the
planet met their needs. Upon emerging they were surprised to find that the
planet had grown up and the people had almost reached their level of
sophistication. That discovery led to a new war declared against the people of
Earth that saw the Gorma forced into hiding once more.<p>As natural wielders of the Power, the Gorma possess enhanced speed, reflexes and strength. Their combat training marks them as some of the best soldiers of their time. Their senior members have developed ways to use the Power
along with their battle armour to veil their appearances, causing them to look like monsters that inspire fear in their enemies. Some have further developed their skills with the Power to come up with their own unique attacks.
As a final attack in the face of certain defeat, it is possible for a Gorma
official or military leader to concentrate all their remaining power into their
bodies, causing them to grow to giant size.
